Summary of the role: An exciting and exceptional opportunity exists for a dynamic and innovative Grade 3 Clinician to provide specialist neonatal Speech Pathology services within the Special Care Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Mercy Hospital for Women. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in providing neonatal clinical care in swallowing and feeding difficulties; working collaboratively with families and the multidisciplinary team; and have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in person centred care through quality, research and evidence based practice.

  • Permanent part time position - 30.4 hours per fortnight

  • Neonatal feeding specialist
  • Significant experience and a high level of clinical expertise in complex paediatric dysphagia assessment and management of neonates or medically complex infants
  • Knowledge and experience in providing supportive, family centred care
  • An ability to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, including proven interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement, clinical research and professional development of self and others within an evidence based practice framework
  • Eligibility for membership of SPA
