Speech Pathology at Monash Health covers the continuum and the life span. We have a large adult bed based department across five hospital sites; Monash Medical Centre, Kingston Centre, Dandenong, Moorabbin and Casey hospitals and teams of speech pathologists in Monash Children’s Hospital, community health, community rehabilitation, clinics and mental health programs. All speech pathology employees have undertaken mandatory cultural awareness training, working to increase cultural safety and responsiveness.


About the Role


With a rotation program spanning the continuum of care across sites, this is a unique opportunity to establish your clinical experience to set you up for your career. We offer experiences in acute and sub-acute settings and provide the opportunity to develop a wide variety of clinical skills. This role focuses on your skill development allowing for additional learning objectives to be pursued. Clinical and cultural supervision is provided.


What we’re looking for in you



  • An Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander speech pathologist within three years of graduation

  • Eligibility for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia

  • A reflective and flexible mindset with a willingness to work in different areas to develop your skills

  • A team approach and ability to lead by example

  • A current Working with Children and Police check

This role is classified as a Grade 1 Speech Pathologist and is paid according to award rates. Salary packaging is available.


Location


The role will commence at Casey Hospital, Berwick. Travel will be required across the five main hospital sites and community locations.
