We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Grade 1 Speech Pathologist to join the adult Speech Pathology team at Peninsula Health!
Experienced grade 1s and new graduates are warmly encouraged to apply.

What You Will Be Doing

The Speech Pathology team provides evidence-based, person-centred care to patients with a broad range of communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders, within a multidisciplinary model of care.

Join our subacute inpatient team based at Golf Links Road Rehabilitation, located in Frankston. You’ll be working with a truly supportive team with a strong sense of collaboration, kindness and respect.
You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to our acute service and/or community programs if you’re interested.

You will be further supported through clinical supervision and our active professional development program. You will have the opportunity to work with students (in conjunction with grade 2 and 3 speech pathologists) and get involved in quality and service improvement.

What you need

Essential Criteria:
• Eligible for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
• Commitment to excellence in adult speech pathology service provision in accordance with person-centred care principles
• Commitment to multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
• Effective time management and organisational skills
• Continuing professional development engagement and commitment to evidence based practice

Desirable Criteria:
• Competence in performing Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies (VFSS)
