Located in Melbourne CBD, IBAC is Victoria's independent anti-corruption agency responsible for preventing and exposing public sector corruption and police misconduct. We do this by: investigating serious corruption and police misconduct; and informing the public sector, police and the community about the risks and impacts of corruption and police misconduct, and ways in which it can be prevented. Our jurisdiction covers state and local government, police, parliament and the judiciary.

Your new role:

IBAC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our team as a Strategic Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer on a full-time fixed term basis until 30 June 2021. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) the role is designed to provide support through a range of executive project and other support services. To be successful in this dynamic and challenging role you will need to have strong skills in stakeholder engagement, along with the ability to think strategically and be influential in supporting change

Capabilities that lead to success in this role (but not limited to):

  • Provide immediate high level and confidential support with specialist advice to the CEO
  • Undertake projects which may be complex and sensitive in nature as well as making recommendations and solutions to assist with the decision making process
  • Develop responsive briefs, prepare high quality presentations in a timely manner and at short notice, ensuring documents are comprehensive and accurate
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships on behalf of the CEO, with key senior employees and external stakeholders
  • In collaboration with the Executive Assistant (EA) be able to develop and oversee the implementation of administrative practices, systems and procedures which can optimise efficiency/continuous improvement
