About the opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Strategy, the Strategic Data and Analytics Manager oversees the ongoing development of the Library's Azure data and Salesforce platforms and leads its performance reporting framework. Your key accountabilities are:

  • Lead the development of the data strategy and roadmap and ensure its integration with the Library's strategic planning process, and the resulting business strategy and plans.
  • Provide a single point of coordination and oversight for all data initiatives.
  • Ensure that the Library is developing the data assets and capabilities that will be needed to survive and thrive in the midterm and long term.
  • Act as a champion and change agent in leading the organisational changes required to create and sustain data literacy throughout the Library.
  • Implement a data governance framework, with focus on organisation, policies, principles, standards, and governance metrics.
  • Establish trust and credibility by operating in a collaborative manner and employing previous experiences to help the Library achieve its data related objectives.

About you

As our ideal candidate: you will have/be:

  • A track record in in developing and implementing data strategies, and driving and championing data-driven decision-making, supporting broader organisational transformation, which deliver outcomes for community
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing data governance and driving change (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in more than one business intelligence software (Power BI, Tableau and Qlik)
  • Demonstrated experience in using and promoting cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform)
  • A result-oriented team leader with a big picture focus and an inquisitive mind
  • A problem solver with excellent analytical and system thinking skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in information management, business analytics, information technology, mathematics, statistics, data science or a similar discipline
