About the role


The Organisational Development function at Eastern Health is one that is valued and we are currently expanding our function to be in a position to make a meaningful and sustainable impact. 


We currently have a newly created Strategic Workforce Planning Analyst position available that will develop and use advanced analytics tools and techniques to inform business strategies based on historical performance, predictive analytics and scenario based analysis. This role will also measure and quantify the impact of key talent initiatives to inform whether planned strategies are realising the anticipated benefit.


Reporting into the Associate Director Future Workforce, this role will design and develop data analytics and reporting capability to inform Strategic Workforce Planning at Eastern Health. This is a unique opportunity to make your mark in a greenfields environment.


To be successful in this role you should possess experience in the following:



  • Designed, developed and managed predictive models for people analytics, modelling workforce trends and reporting to inform strategic workforce planning (or HR Processes and Workforce reporting)

  • Data management, data investigation, predictive modelling, and data visualization.

  • Analysing large and complex data sets, translating data insights to inform the generation of workforce strategies

  • Analytical and presentation capability of data and other information to identify significant trends or key issues and provide recommendation on forecasted/projected talent demand and supply opportunities and challenges

  • Ability to communicate analysis and insights to a broad audience (i.e. Executives, Senior Leaders, HR, and Managers)

  • Development and maintenance of actionable management dashboards for HR functions or talent organisations to enable the measurement of workforce and talent interventions.

  • Gathering labour market intelligence and undertake research, benchmarking, scenario planning and environmental scanning to enable clarity on future demands

  • Capability in data extraction and integration processes: including workforce data from central systems such as SAP with Finance and Operational data sets

  • Technical experience in database applications such as advanced Excel, Dashboard tools (PowerBi), Technical Knowledge of (SQL) and psychology based statistical packages to produce analysis and visualisations.

  • Strong project management capability to ensure programs of work are scoped effectively, developed and delivered against time, quality and budget requirements.

  • Extensive reporting experience including knowledge of standard metrics and key performance indicators
