Stream Lead Community Mental Health Clinician

  • Older Adult Community Mental Health Service – (formerly known as APAT)
  • Permanent full time position (80 hours per fortnight Mon – Fri)

About the role

The Older Adult Mental Health Community Program is a community based mental health outreach team, servicing people over the age of 65years. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services and support based on the Recovery Model principles.

An opportunity exists with our Older Adults Mental Health Service Community Service at Peter James Centre for a passionate and enthusiastic mental health clinician in a senior role.  The Stream Leader (in collaboration with the manager) is responsible for effective co-ordination and day to day clinical management.

The incumbent will be part of the Senior Leadership team and will work towards providing consistent and effective clinical operational leadership and ensuring practice is in line with contemporary, evidence based mental health models of care and current Victorian State Government initiatives, such as the Recovery Framework, within the service objectives.

 About you

  • Current Victorian drivers licence

  • Post graduate qualifications (preferred)
  • Highly  developed interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Strong commitment to high quality patient care
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
