The Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) is a State Government statutory authority governed by the Victorian Planning Authority Act 2017. Our focus is on integrated land use, built form and infrastructure planning outcomes for significant precincts and places in growing Victorian cities, suburbs and regions. About the role:
The role will provide support and administration for new Framework Plans and Structure Plans currently being prepared by the Victorian Planning Authority in collaboration with Councils and State Government Agencies.

Key Accountabilities: 
Administer and support the preparation of Framework Plans and Structure Plans. This will include:
                    1. Research
                    2. Review of submissions
                    3. Mapping
                    4. Land use planning in relation to activity centres, transport, biodiversity and heritage

• Meeting attendance with external stakeholders (government agencies, developers, councils), preparing meeting agendas, meeting minutes, note taking and follow up
• Attend community consultations / exhibition sessions
• Participate in site visits
• Assisting with preparation of letters, reports and documents
• Records management and document storage using TRIM (records management system)
• Stakeholder engagement and communications
• Additional tasks as requested

Eligibility:

• Entering into the final year of your Bachelors Degree or the final year of your Masters Degree in the 2025 Academic Year.
• Studying a Planning related degree, including but not limited to Urban Planning, Urban Design, Geography, Environmental Science, Property, and Construction.
• Availability to work 2-3 days per week during both term time and University holidays.
