About the Role

These temporary and permanent Resident/Registrar positions offer a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic ED team.  Sunshine Emergency Department is one of the state's busiest departments, and currently sees approximately 85,000 patients per year, including paediatric cases. Sunshine Hospital has an ICU and cathlab on site, and is supported by specialist medical inpatient units.

The Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s Precinct at Sunshine Hospital services the paediatric and obstetric healthcare needs of Melbourne’s west.

There is active on the floor Consultant leadership, supervision and education from 0800hrs – 2400hrs, seven days a week.

If you wish to apply you must meet the mandatory criteria as noted below:

  • Australian Trained Medical Graduates: General Registration with AHPRA and completed a minimum of 2 years Full Time medical employment post MBBS graduation

  • International Medical Graduates: Limited/General Registration with AHPRA and completed a minimum of 2 years Full Time medical employment in Australia (desirable). Must have passed AMC MCQ Part 1 and achieved a ranking of 7 or above in IELTs (listening, reading, writing and speaking)
