Ambulance Victoria (AV) prides itself on providing outstanding emergency healthcare, every time.  To continue providing this ongoing commitment, our Operational Logistics department is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional with excellent customer service skills and supplier management background, to join the Supply Services team.

About the role

The role of the Supply Officer is to provide high level customer service across AV and external clients. This will include the administration and day to day coordination of Supply Services contracts, procurement activities, inventory management, support for general and medical consumables, including maintenance of policies and procedures. This is an ongoing, full-time role based at our Blackburn North Offices.

Reporting to the Supply Services Manager, the responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing excellent and timely, customer service and support to a range of key stakeholders;
  • Creating and maintaining close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide solutions and enhance processes;
  • Monitoring and ensuring all despatch and receipt of goods comply with the Drugs and Poisons Act, AV's Drugs & Poisons permit, AV's Poisons Control Plan, and other compliance procedures as required;
  • Providing first level support to staff for the online systems for uniform ordering, stationery requisitions, medication transactions, and medical consumables, and
  • Regularly monitoring usage of consumables and assets managed by the Supply Services team and the associated contracts including medical consumables, linen and uniform, and reporting irregularities to the Supply Chain Manager.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate substantial experience and expertise in providing solid administrative support, strong customer service and supplier management support, and be proficient in the use of MS Office and relevant software.  Having a working knowledge of Oracle Financials and contract management, is desirable, and would place you in good stead.

In addition, you will have strong attention to detail, be well organised, possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and be able to effortlessly build solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Australian National Criminal Check and pre-employment checks, must also hold a current Victorian Driver's Licence, and be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required.

The commencing salary on offer for this role is $72,110.78pa, plus 9.5% superannuation.
