About the role

We have various acute surgical nursing opportunities for Registered and Enrolled Nurses at our acute sites.

    • Ward 7.2 - upper GI, colorectal, gastroenterology
    • Ward 8.2 - general, thoracic, urology, bariatric, endocrine surgery
    • Ward 9.1 - orthopaedic, plastics, ENT
  • Blackburn Public Surgical Centre - general, gynaecology, colorectal
  • Maroondah Hospital (East Ringwood)
    • Ward 1 North - orthopaedic
    • Ward 3 East - plastics, urology, gastroenterology, breast, endocrine surgery

About you 

You are dedicated, empathetic and adaptable. You understand, and are interested in, the complex and varied patient presentations cared for in the acute hospital setting. To be successful in this role you should possess:

  • Current registration with AHPRA (essential)
  • Successful completion of a nurse graduate program (essential)
  • Recent acute nursing experience (within Australia)
  • Post graduate qualifications will be highly regarded
  • An empathetic and personable demeanour
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
