Role: Surveillance Officer (until 31 December 2021)

Position Summary: 

  • Enter data into surveillance system in an accurate and timely manner
  • Administer basic data quality to all COVID-19 related notifications


  • Process incoming notifications for cases and contacts related to the COVID-19 response.
  • Work closely with other members of the Informatics team, as well as other teams, to ensure timely entry of data
  • Escalate issues or problems with data entry or processes to Data Managers or Senior Data Managers in Informatics
  • Keep accurate and complete records on CRM so that all activities related to the incident are accurately recorded.
  • Monitor electronically received data and ensure data quality and completeness is maintained.
  • Complete basic data quality tasks as directed by Data Managers.
