There has never been a more exciting time at EPA as we work to prevent the harmful effects of pollution and waste on Victoria's environment and people, with a focus on zero tolerance for waste crime and unsafe waste management.

We are seeking a Surveillance Program Specialist (VP6.1) to join the new Waste Crime Prevention Directorate to implement the Government's Recycling Victoria policy and plan, based with the EPA in Sunshine.

 Your role:  

  • Lead and contribute to the design of programs, projects and investigations, through the provision of specialist surveillance knowledge and skills
  • Lead the development and implementation of guidelines, standard operating procedures, strategies and policies, to support best practice use of surveillance to target waste crime, commensurate with the legislative powers available to the EPA
  • Provide leadership in the development of the Authority's capability to undertake best practice physical and technical surveillance
  • Conduct surveillance duties to ascertain relevant information / intelligence to inform an investigation in accordance with relevant legislation
