Role: Survelliance Officer, DIME (Role until - 30 June 2021)

Position Summary:

  • Enter data into the survelliance system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Administer basic data quality controls to all COVID-19 related notifications.


  • Review records for cases and contacts related to the COVID-19 response and ensure links are created appropriately.
  • Create exposure sites and automatically generated outbreak reports, ensuring these are classified and stored correctly.
  • Update automatically generated outbreak reports.
  • Work closely with other members of the COVID-19 Intelligence & Analytics teams to ensure case, contact, and exposure site data cleanliness, and to ensure epidemiological links are identified and classified correctly.
  • Escalate issues or probllems with data to the Pod Lead.
  • Keep accurate and complete records in the CRM so that all activities are accurately recorded.
  • Monitor case and contact records including free text notes and ensure data quality and completeness is maintained.
  • Participatte in surveillance activities and meetings at the direction of the Pod Lead.
  • Complete special project data cleaning as required.
