Switchboard Operator/Receptionist/Computer Clerk

  • Full Time Position located across RMH City and Royal Park campuses

The Telephone & Communications Department is a dedicated team of multi skilled staff, who provide a wide range of services over a 24-hour, 7 day a week period. Currently we are seeking dedicated Switchboard Operators to join our team at RMH City & Royal Park Campuses

About the Role:

  • Operating an extremely busy hospital switchboard
  • Actioning emergency calls as specified
  • transmitting messages via paging system and updating information.
  • This is a multidisciplinary role, which includes weekend shifts providing receptionist support on our information desk and mailroom duties when required

About you:

  • Medical Terminology knowledge
  • Call Centre / Switchboard experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and autonomously
  • Proficient PC skills, including Word & Excel • Effective organizational and time management skills
