About the role:

As a Systems Engineer for Unified Communications, you will take the ownership for supporting Microsoft Teams, Teams Voice and video conferencing solutions. The role includes administration, implementation, and maintenance of current and new solutions.

  • You will be responsible for collaboration technology services with a focus on Microsoft Teams, Teams Calling, Meeting room devices for Audio and Video Conferencing solutions.
  • Administration, implementation, and maintenance of current and new collaboration technologies
  • Manage escalated issues relating to applications or cloud services through to resolution
  • Proactively perform maintenance activities, while deploying and documenting technical solutions
  • You will also maintain strong relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and maintain a contemporary Modern Workplace environment to enable and improve end user experience

As part of the team you will:

  • Provide specialised technical expertise, guidance, and recommendations on delivering Modern Workplace products with a focus on Collaboration technologies (video and audio).
  • Provide 3rd level support, development, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Teams, Teams Calling and Meeting room devices enabling AV / VC technology including Poly, Crestron and Surface Hub devices.
  • Design and configure business components according to agreed business needs
  • Create and maintain a contemporary Modern Workplace environment improve end user experience 
  • Mentoring other team members
  • Maintain operational support, governance and security compliance for the platform
  • Maintain knowledgebase articles and documentation for internal support teams and end users. 

The skills and experience you will add to our team include:

  • Experience in Microsoft 365 and related collaboration technologies.
  • Experience in MS Teams, Teams Calling, meeting room devices including video conferencing technology solutions such as Surface Hubs, Poly, Crestron products.
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting tools such as PowerShell.
  • An understanding of Audio Visual, Workspace Management, Media Distribution, and IPTV technologies.
  • Microsoft and ITIL certifications are highly regarded

About You:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft 365, Audio Visual technologies, audio and video conferencing services
  • Knowledge of Microsoft AD, Intune, group policy management and security models to configure application interactions
  • Administering and maintaining a range of networks and systems
  • Experience in resolving high level IT issues escalated within the Service Desk
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both oral and written form
  • Conceptual and analytic skills
  • Ability to mentor team members and collaborate with peers
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service orientation

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) full time ongoing position available
  • Position location e.g. Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
