About the role

As an experienced people leader, you will partner with the business to responsible for supporting the organisation's adherence and adoption to State Trustees' business continuity plan, risk management and compliance frameworks. Working with all areas of the business, you'll identify regulatory change, identify risks and analyse information to evaluate processes, assess controls and risks, validate findings and help develop remediation strategies, including measures to prevent fraud.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in a business, accounting or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in compliance (including implementing a Compliance Plan, breach management), risk management, preferably within the financial services industry or government
  • Identifying legislative changes including a working understanding of the privacy legislation
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow including Committee presentations
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders at various levels including staff and executive team
  • Excellent persuasive skills, both in one-on-one and group situations
  • Well-developed risk and compliance leadership skills with analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate computer literacy including competent use of Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team, lead teams and manage supplier relationships
