An exciting opportunity exists for a Team Leader on an Ongoing basis in Dandenong Housing.

The department provides affordable and secure housing assistance for low-income people across Victoria. We deliver or fund community services organisations to provide emergency and transitional accommodation, longer-term public and community managed housing, private rental assistance, homelessness assistance, home ownership assistance, new forms of social housing and related support services.

Housing Team manages longer-term public housing, providing tenancy and property management with a priority on sustaining tenancies, incorporating early intervention strategies and additional support to tenancies identified as being at risk. The team is also responsible for quality client service delivery at the front end of public housing services by providing services to clients seeking housing assistance.

The Team Leader leads a team of Housing Services Officers to provide a range of departmental housing services and meet the holistic needs of clients. The role operates within a dynamic environment. The Team Leader must have a capacity to understand the complexities of the organisational and area context, exercise sound judgement, deliver on outcomes and develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

A full driver's licence is required due to the need to respond to emergencies across the State at short notice and outside business hours as required
