Team Leader Ministerial Correspondence

  • Annual Salary Range: $101,120 - $122,348 per annum plus superannuation
  • Tenure: Fixed Term (6 months)
  • Employment Type:  Part Time  
  • Usual Work Location: Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)

 

About the Team

This role will be part of the Ministerial & Government Services which is a branch that provides support services for the Department and Ministers to meet legislative, parliamentary and accountability obligations.

The branch makes up a part of the People and Business Service group which provides business enabling people and corporate services functions, to drive a high-performance culture and to support integrated operations.

 

About the Opportunity

The Team Leader Ministerial Correspondence will support the Manager Briefing and Correspondence by effectively coordinating a small team of Ministerial Correspondence Officers.

In this role, you'll identify current and emerging issues, monitor and assess business processes, and engage with a range of stakeholders to make continuous improvements.

 

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead and develop a successful team to deliver quality ministerial services.
  • Extensive knowledge and established track record in the production of high-quality ministerial correspondence.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the application of government and ministerial processes.
  • An interest and good understanding of transport portfolio issues, challenges, policy and programs.
  • Strong writing and editing skills and the proven capacity to deal with complex, confidential and sensitive information.

 

Desirable

  • Relevant tertiary qualification  
  • Highly developed organisational and coordination skills 
  • Demonstrated experience in building networks and strong relationships 
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to perform the technical functions of the role  
  • Current knowledge of the Transport sector policy environment.
