About Us

Fines and Enforcement Services (FES) is a business unit within the Department of Justice and Community Safety's Fines, Registration and Crime Prevention group. FES is responsible for managing the end-to-end infringement system in Victoria.

About the Role

The Technical Review Officer will assist in the day-to-day supervision of the team and provide review officers with a point of contact for any technical support or advice they may need.

In this role, you will also:

  • manage a portfolio of complex files to ensure consistent and considered outcomes in a timely manner
  • provide specialist advice to the Operations Team staff on complex technical matters in order to deliver the required outputs
  • undertake all the functions associated in managing correspondence including, but not limited to, investigation of complaints at the direction of Operations Team Leads, escalated queries and responses to other incoming correspondence.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • high level of technical knowledge and understanding of the rules, regulations, practices and procedures based on knowledge of the Fines Reform Act 2014, or practical experience in the application of other or similar legislation
  • proven understanding of the infringements lifecycle, or demonstrated ability to acquire understanding
  • excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills, with the ability to lead and navigate change strategies.
