Develop, maintain, communicate, and administer procedures, policies, tools, templates, and structures relating to the governance and management of technology-enabled assets within Forest Fire and Regions Group.

The Technology Asset Management Lead is part of the Technology Solutions Unit within the Infrastructure and Resources Division. The division is an important part of Victoria's fire and emergency management arrangements, playing a key role in enabling DELWP to meet its emergency management responsibilities efficiently, effectively, and safely.  

The successful applicant will:

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the FFRG Technology Enabled Asset Strategy.
  • Proactively drive new technology asset innovation aligned to the FFRG Technology Enabled Asset Strategy, including establishing and running proof of concept initiatives leveraging cutting-edge research and global fire and emergency technology case studies.
  • Develop and maintain a central FFRG technology-enabled asset register and develop policies and procedures that support a formal asset establishment, procurement, and lifecycle management process for the Group.
  • Coordinate day-to-day asset management work including hardware procurement, maintenance, and disposal, supporting all asset-related technology projects whilst ensuring that best practice is maintained.
  • Establish and report on metrics associated with technology enabled asset capability.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Experience in writing organisation-wide asset management strategies.
  • Experience in establishing asset management systems and processes.
  • Experience in establishing, managing and running Government governance structures, including preparing Executive-level reports.
  • Relevant tertiary Science, Technology or Engineering qualifications.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2023.
