Job location

 Forensicare is situated across five sites across Victoria with its largest site being Thomas Embling Hospital, located in Fairfield just 15 minutes north of the Melbourne city centre. Thomas Embling Hospital is a 136-bed secure hospital providing acute care, rehabilitation and continuing care programs. It includes a dedicated women's unit.

About the Role:

  • Therapeutic Programs Clinical Lead
  • Develop, implement and evaluate therapeutic programs
  • Strengthening visibility of the program using co-production and co-design strategies

Duties:

  • Provide leadership, support and direction relating to therapeutic programs
  • Support the therapeutic program team in developing a vision for future expansion based upon consumer need

About You:

  • Strong leadership ability
  • Understanding of risk mitigation in the context of therapeutic programs
  • Experience in fathering quality information that contributes towards program evaluation

What you need:

Nursing

  • Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).
  • The successful candidate will be required to register their qualifications on eCredential

Occupational Therapy

  • Approved degree in Occupational Therapy recognised for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia – Australian Association of Occupational Therapists. 
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).
  • The successful candidate will be required to register their qualifications on eCredential.

Psychology

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited course or equivalent, or a Doctorate degree in Forensic Psychology from an APS accredited course or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).
  • The successful candidate will be required to register their qualifications on eCredential.

Social Work

  • Approved degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

COVID19 & Influenza Vaccination Evidence

Under the Victorian Public Health orders, all employees working within the Public Health system must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and Influenza and are required to provide acceptable evidence of their vaccination status. The current orders require evidence of three doses for COVID-19.
All applicants to positions with Forensicare will need to upload acceptable evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19 and Influenza as part of their job application. Acceptable evidence is a copy of your Immunisation History Statement which can be accessed via MyGov.
