About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a qualified Trade Cook to assist in the effective, efficient and safe production, packaging and serving of high quality nutritious meals to patients, clients and customers of the Food Services Department.

This position will assist the Executive Chef with the day to day production of hospital menu items and be required to take charge of a section of the kitchen while complying with relevant food safety requirements. The SWH Food Services Department is a busy kitchen

This position is part time (28 hours per fortnight) until December 2022, with the ability to work extra hours when required.

Eligible candidates must hold relevant trade qualification in cooking and HLTFS207C ‘Follow basic food safety practices' certificate. The successful applicant must be able to work as part of an effective team, have excellent verbal communication and time management skills.
