About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to use your training and development, facilitation, and collaboratiion skills and experience to drive cultural, and talent development initiatives. You would be part of an experienced, progressive and supportive team, in a fast-growing public health service, focused on supporting our staff to be their best enabling Western Health’s (WH) vision, to deliver best care.

The role is responsible for implementing and coordinating Western Health’s mental health and wellbeing training modules, and other components of learning and development programs for non-clinical staff, including translation and development of engaging self-directed learning modules, via WH Learning Management System LMS, relationship building with people leaders and trainers to ensure career development aspirations and opportunities are available for WH employees.

What we want you to do

  • Facilitate and deliver, WH Mental Health and Wellbeing training for WH staff
  • Develop new channels of delivery via WH Learning Management System
  • Establish efficient and effective mechanisms for identifying users of learning modules and programs across WH
  • Implementation and planning based on assessment of learning needs identified using various tools
  • Implement & manage learning & development opportunities for existing and new employees with a focus on non-clinical staff needs
  • Developing programs and training that is customised to the needs of the current and future Western Health workforce
  • Provide advice on most appropriate development and learning intervention that improves any workforce capability gaps, and best positions our employees to meet service demands.

You are naturally collaborative and a people person, who brings a flexible approach to working with a wide variety of stakeholders.  You have strong interpersonal skills, and are strategic in your thinking and solutions design. You are seen as a trusted advisor.  You bring experience in working with others to arrive at outcomes and can deal with multiple projects at any one time.  Comfortable to work with uncertainty and complexity, you can take an idea from conception to delivery and evaluation.
