Fixed Term, Part Time, 48.0 hours per fortnight

Two Grade 4 opportunities have arisen for experienced Registered Nurses who are qualified Nurse Immunisers, to join our team to assist the effective delivery of the BRHS vaccination program. A minimum 6 month fixed term contract will be offered with possibility for extension.

The Position:

The Vaccination Nurse Team Leaders will work closely with the Vaccination Clinic Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the clinical components of the vaccination program are delivered in accordance with required standards.  The Team Leaders will provide clinical support to the Nursing team and support staff to deliver COVID vaccinations to the general community and COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations to BRHS staff.  The role will also support the provision of well targeted education ensuring people are well positioned to provide informed consent.

What you need:

  • Current Registered Nurse registration and qualification as a Nurse Immuniser.
  • Experience and knowledge in immunisation including appropriate storage of and maintenance of the ‘cold chain'.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage staff and consumers at all level.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with teams across the health service.  
  • Recent experience in community immunisation or infection prevention is highly desirable.
