About the role
We are seeking a motivated Intensive Care physician to join our Intensive Care team at Grampians Health Ballarat ICU. Be responsible for and lead the multidisciplinary care of critically ill patients at Grampians Health - Ballarat. This care is to be comprehensive, and contemporary and patient cantered. The Ballarat ICU is a CICM accredited, level 2, 13-bed unit that currently admits to 9 Intensive Care equivalents. The full range of contemporary Intensive Care therapies expected of an Australian ICU are utilised. The medical and nursing work force has been very stable over many years. There are currently 7 Intensive Care physicians. The ICU prides itself on a 'can do' attitude and its collective commitment to best practice. The Intensive Care physician group share these values and also takes collective pride in our temperament, flexibility and commitment to our community. The successful candidate will be expected to live by these shared values.
The unit has a close-knit multidisciplinary team that value leadership and excellence in healthcare.
We are looking for an Intensive Care physician that will complement our team. We want you to enjoy working and living in our dynamic ICU and in beautiful Ballarat. We wish for the successful candidate to add more to the ICU, to the Health Service and to the community than purely the day to day care of Intensive Care patients.
