This is a great opportunity for an individual to join the Administration Team at MDHS, working at our Dunolly Campus (Nursing Home and Acute Ward) as a Ward Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to clinical personnel and ensuring all patients and visitors accessing information and services from MDHS receive effective and efficient support and assistance upon presentation.

Ward Clerk – Dunolly Campus

 Permanent Full Time – 40 hours per fortnight

Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2016 – 2020

This is a great opportunity for an individual to join the Administration Team at MDHS, working at our Dunolly Campus (Nursing Home and Acute Ward) as a Ward Clerk.  In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to clinical personnel and ensuring all patients and visitors accessing information and services from MDHS receive effective and efficient support and assistance upon presentation.

 We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

Qualifications / Experience

  1. Previous experience in a similar role.

Specialist Expertise

  1. Proven ability to manage and prioritise workload with minimal supervision.
  2. Demonstrated ability to utilise a range of Microsoft Office© software packages and maintenance of computer-based systems and procedures as required.
  3. Ability to demonstrate highly developed communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to screen and attend to confidential and sensitive enquiries.

Personal Qualities

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  2. Enthusiastic, committed and motivated approach with strong organisational skills
