About the Team

SprayLine Road Services is a Department of Transport internal business that delivers specialist drainage, road and civil maintenance and construction to the Department of Transport and our clients.

About the Opportunity

The position is based at the Ballarat Regional office, and will see you working in a team that is undertaking a number of functions including delivering routine maintenance activities for Regional Roads Victoria's Northern Region, delivering asphalt pavement rehabilitation, civil construction and provisional road related works, monitoring and reporting of SprayLine Road Services Key Performance Indicators and ensuring Safety Management System compliance.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Exercise professional judgement in the development and delivery of maintenance and construction projects and services under broad supervision.
  • Provide advice to key stakeholders on the management and application of minor construction and/or road maintenance projects.
  • Use conceptual and analytical skills to develop solutions to moderately complex maintenance issues
  • Use negotiation and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with maintenance contract and Road Management Act to reach successful outcomes.
  • Exercise professional judgment in the application of policies and procedures including Occupational Health and Safety, Environment Management and Quality Assurance.
