We have multiple roles to fill so more senior school students can access an apprenticeship or traineeship from February 2023.

What we do

Open the world of apprenticeships and traineeships to senior school students. Enable them to align their career aspirations to their school studies and give them a Head Start in a genuine employment pathway. Head Start roles are open to anyone with training, industry or education experience. With over 100 school-based roles to choose from, there is bound to be a role you can apply for.

  • Director (non-teaching role)
  • Assistant Director (non-teaching role)
  • Learning Leader (Teaching Class)
  • Coordinator (non-teaching role)
  • Administrator (non-teaching role)

Qualifications and experience

Do you have experience in education, training or industry? Then you may be eligible for a Head Start non-teaching role. You will need a valid employee Working with Children Check and a current Drivers Licence. For Head Start teaching roles you must have a current provisional or full registration or permission to teach approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching and a current Drivers Licence.
