The Department of Education and Training is inviting graduate teachers in Inner Gippsland, North Eastern and Western Melbourne to participate in this $73.4 million Pilot to help improve the quality and experience of graduate teachers as they are inducted into their teaching career.  

About the Role

The Pilot will support graduate teacher development through reduction in face-to-face teaching to allow time for new and specialised professional learning, assistance connecting with local teachers and extra support for graduate teachers in rural and remote areas.

What they do

The Pilot will allow graduate teachers greater opportunity to work with experienced teachers in:

  • Peer observation and feedback
  • Lesson planning and development of classroom materials
  • Assessing students and analysis assessment data
  • Preparing and meeting with parent(s) / carer(s)

Development of wellbeing strategies

Qualifications or experience

You’ll have completed your undergraduate teaching degree and be registered with VIT as a Provisionally Registered Teacher.
