About the role

The Early Career Nurse Program (ECN)/ Early Career Midwifery (ECM) Program enables recently qualified Registered Nurses/Midwives who have not undertaken a Graduate Program an opportunity to enter the Eastern Health nursing workforce in a supported program.

You will benefit from a structured, comprehensive induction program, regular study days and support form the Learning and Teaching team.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Current Nursing/Midwifery registration with AHPRA (or will be registered by September 2022)


• Have not previously commenced any Graduate Program


• Have less than 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife


• Full working rights for the duration of the Program


• A strong commitment to high quality care


• The ability to work as part of a diverse team


• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Official academic transcript (certified- by a person authorised to certify documents in Victoria e.g. Pharmacist, Police Officer etc.). If you have a digital academic record, we also accept this without certification


• 2 clinical placement assessment tools/appraisals- most recent and relevant to pathway


• 1 Professional/ workplace referee (or volunteer work)


• 1 Clinical Placement referee (please upload two clinical placement referees if you do not have a professional referee)

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.  An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
