About Monash Women’s


Monash Women’s is the largest provider of Women's Health Services in Victoria.?It consists of three maternity hospitals across the service, including Monash Medical Centre, a vibrant tertiary referral hospital. Monash Medical Centre has been accredited by RANZCOG to provide Maternal Fetal Medicine subspecialty training with two RANZCOG approved training positions. We have RANZCOG trainees and RANZCOG subspecialty trainees in all women's health disciplines. Monash Health is a Monash University teaching hospital and is home to The Ritchie Centre, one of Australia's leading perinatal research centres. The co-location of The Ritchie Centre, Monash Medical Centre and Monash Children’s Hospital, also closed located with Monash University and the soon to be opened Victorian Heart Hospital, provides a rich environment for those wishing to combine a clinical and academic career. The Maternal Fetal medicine Unit provides care for women with complex pregnancies from across the state, both severe maternal diseases and fetal disorders, and is the surgical site of the Victorian Fetal Therapy Service (VFTS).



About the Role


The successful applicant will ideally be an accredited RANZCOG CMFM subspecialty trainee (year 1-3). It is desirable for the applicant to have a demonstrated research track-record. The Unit is supported by all subspecialty medical disciplines. There are excellent opportunities for clinical and basic research in maternal and fetal medicine, including fetal therapy and surgery. Fellows are encouraged to undertake a Higher Degree (eg MD, PhD). The position provides opportunities to gain skills in all areas of Maternal Fetal Medicine for an enthusiastic and committed individual who aspires to be a future discipline leader.?
