The opportunity

Reporting to the Team Leader, these roles are responsible for carrying out audits, investigations, and enforcement functions. These functions are primarily based at the casino, and include compliance inspections, games and procedural audits, observations of the casino gaming floor, conducting risk management discussions, the use of surveillance equipment, conducting investigations and compiling detailed reports with a suitable enforcement recommendation in accordance with VGCCC policies and procedures. When required this position will also prepare briefs of evidence for the purposes of prosecution or disciplinary action.

The role will require working from the casino complex in Southbank and will include shift work, working a 7 day, 24-hour rotational roster that includes afternoon and night shifts (allowances paid in line with Enterprise Agreement)

Who we are looking for

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • The ability to work to a 24 hour roster including weekends;
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in a compliance or regulatory environment;
  • Ability to identify issues to be investigated relating to relevant legislation, policy and/or operating procedures;
  • The ability to make sound, timely and well-informed recommendations for alleged breaches of legislation administered by the Commission;
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively and promote a positive workplace culture.
