Associate Nurse Unit Manager

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Medical Registered Nurse to be part of the leadership team, reporting to the Nurse manager on Ward 6.2 at Box Hill hospital. We are a 32 bed medical ward that also supports adult eating disorders. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive leadership team that creates positive and excellent patient outcomes. You are enthusiastic and motivated to succeed and have at least a minimum 2 years Acute Medical experience post graduate year.  The role requires availability for a rotating roster. You will join a cohesive multi-disciplinary team with a patient-centred focus. You will assist the NUM with the day to day running of the ward, lead shifts, and support the leadership team.

  • Current registration with AHPRA

  • Previous leadership experience will be highly regarded

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
