As the successful applicant you will part of North West Metro Region which has over 3750 operational police, 343 Victorian Public Service employees which include 113 Police Custody Officers. About the role:

The advertised position is (1) Full time VPS2, Administrative/Property Officer position attached to North West Metro Region, Division 2 located within the Altona Police Complex. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing administrative /property support to members within the Altona Police Complex.

Your duties will include:

• Maintaining accountable documents including data entry, typing and word processing;
• The recording and tracking of briefs, correspondence and property and attend to follow-up procedures as required with a high attention to detail;
• Attend to telephone and counter enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders and provide information and advice as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

• Experience in working with computers and various programs to perform a arrange of administrative tasks;
• Sound communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records whilst meeting strict deadlines;
• Ability to work successfully within a team environment and work independently;
• Display initiative and proactive work practices.

Requirements and relevant information:

• One (1) VPS2 full time ongoing position available.
• Position will be located at Altona Police Station, 1 Galvin Steet, Altona. While this position will have a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
• The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve, and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
• In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer's Direction - COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated (this includes the booster dose) and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
