About the role:

Victoria Police is currently advertising One (1) full-time, Fixed Term, Administrative/Property Officer working within Southern Metro Region, Division Four. We are seeking an individual applicant with a desire and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. As the successful applicant, you will provide a high level of administrative support to frontline policing within Hastings Police Station. Being self-motivated and with the ability to manage various databases, records, and registers, you will be a part of a supportive team.

Your duties will include:

  • Maintenance of various databases and registers.
  • Work closely with the station commanders and leadership team in the management of routine correspondence, personal records and ordering of station supplies.
  • To assist station property VPS staff member.
  • To assist with telephone and counter enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake banking and mail duties as required.
  • If required, undertake a range of functions around the receipt, management, and disposal of property items in accordance with police policy and relevant legislation.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Confidence to work closely with sworn police members up to and including the rank of Inspector.
  • Ability to self-motivate and manage own workload.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, Fixed term (01/06/2024-28/02/2025) position available.
  • This position is located at Hastings Police Station, 137 High Street, Hastings, VIC, 3915. However, you may be required to work out of any location within Southern Metro Region, Division Four, as required.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
