About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is a seeking skilled and motivated person to join our high performing Health Information Services (HIS) team, as an Administrative Support Officer (ASO).

This role will provide high level of customer service to all employees, clients, service providers and other appropriate stakeholders. This position is responsive to all enquiries in a prompt and courteous manner. The ASO will ensure the functions are completed to a high standard.

We are excited to be able to offer the following positions:

  • Permanent part time:

41-55 hours per fortnight rostered Monday to Wednesday, with additional shifts also available.

  • Permanent part time:

Up to 66 hours per fortnight. The role involves a rotating roster, with shifts including weekends 07:00 – 15.30hrs and night duty Friday & Saturday 21:00 to 07:00 hrs.  Additional shifts will also be available. 

  • Casual positions:

Casual Relievers are required to provide leave coverage for staff with hours of duty dictated by staff rostering arrangements. Role includes Health Information Service Department Hours 7:30am- 5:30pm Mon- Fri. Flexibility  and availability of the successful applicant at short notice is essential.

What you bring

As a HIS Administrative Support Officer you will have developed experience and skills involving maintenance of confidential records, data input, reception duties and other administrative tasks.

Experience in data entry is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology would be favourably regarded. The ability to work both independently without supervision and as an integral part of a busy team, together with excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.

Strong digital literacy and knowledge of Office Suite applications is essential to this role, along with excellent verbal, written, time and organisation skills.
