About Monash Health

Monash Health is an impressive organisation of seven public hospitals, 21 community health sites, five aged care facilities, university affiliated international research and tertiary education. We provide healthcare for the entire lifespan from pre-birth to palliative care and all stages in between, and we have recently opened the new 230-bed Monash Children’s Hospital.

 About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly experienced Physiotherapist/s to join the Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (AMP) team at Monash Health in a 0.3EFT permanent capacity and/or a 0.4EFT parental leave replacement until July 2020.

This position is integrated into our broad AMP team, with the opportunity of conducting AMP clinics such as OAHKS, Back and Neck Clinic, Shoulder Clinic, Lower Limb Screening Clinic and undertaking AMP in ED shifts. Weekend work and work on public holidays in the emergency department is a core requirement of this role. The successful candidate will also have a key role in the education and training of our rotating Grade 2 Physiotherapists in the musculoskeletal stream.

About You

You will possess a strong patient-centred focus, be highly skilled in the acute assessment and management of musculoskeletal complaints, and have well developed leadership and communication skills.  Experience in both adult and paediatric care is beneficial.  The AMP is expected to participate in competency based training and assessment to ensure credentialing of skills and maintenance of high standards of care. Extensive clinical experience and post graduate qualification in the field of musculoskeletal/sports physiotherapy or progression towards this would be a distinct advantage. Become part of the dynamic and supportive team in the Physiotherapy Department and Emergency Departments.

What’s in it for you?

  • Attractive salary including salary packaging opportunities

  • Work closely with the Monash Health AMP and Senior Physiotherapy team and leverage their expertise to progress your career with us

What you need:

  • Proven musculoskeletal physiotherapy experience

  • Knowledge and experience working closely with an interprofessional team

  • Current practicing physiotherapy AHPRA registration

  • Current Drivers Licence

  • Post Graduate qualification (or progression towards this) in Musculoskeletal or Sports Physiotherapy
