Located on the beautiful Great South Coast, South West Healthcare offers a comprehensive range of medical, surgical and psychiatric services. The organisation serves a catchment in excess of 110,000 and comprises of a total of 282 beds and an extensive range of primary and community services. Warrnambool boasts excellent sporting, education (pre-school to university), social and cultural facilities. The city’s award winning foreshore promenade is a 5.7km path that stretches from the breakwater along the coastline to the Hopkins River mouth.

About the role

This 12 month placement commencing February 2022 consists of 6 months in General Paediatrics based at University Hospital Geelong (February - July 2022), and 6 months in General Paediatrics based at South-West Healthcare in Warrnambool (August 2022 – February 2023).  

Further information about the Barwon Health position is available through the Barwon Health website.  This 12 month combined rotation guarantees the trainee both placements but must be completed in this order.  This rotation is accredited for General Paediatrics including the 6 month Rural Training requirement.  This position will be allocated using a PMCV match.

What you bring

Enterprise Agreement 2018 – 2021, with the appropriate classification Registrar, commensurate with experience.
