An opportunity exists for a motivated and skilled individual to join the Anaesthetic Department as a Research Coordinator. The Anaesthetic Research Coordinator will be involved in the organisation, implementation and coordination of clinical trial research studies within the Anaesthetics Department. They will work closely with the Anaesthetic Department Research Lead to be responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect clinical trial related care of patients and the associated data collection for concurrent research studies undertaken in the Department.

This is a new position which will give the successful applicant the opportunity to become an integral part of a busy, friendly and enthusiastic Department with an established research portfolio. Experience will be gained in all aspects of clinical trials and you will play a lead role in the development of the research activities within the Department.

The successful applicant will have well-developed time management and problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and work under minimal supervision. Applicants should also possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment. A sound knowledge of computer based software applications including Word/Excel/database management systems is also required. You will need current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and to hold current Good Clinical Practice Training Certification. You will also need to have a minimum of 2 year’s relevant postgraduate experience, with previous clinical trial or research experience being highly desirable.
