We’re seeking dedicated specialist anaesthetists to contribute to our mission of providing high-quality healthcare.

About Latrobe Regional Health

Located in Traralgon, Victoria, LRH offers a comprehensive range of medical services, including elective surgery, emergency care, aged care, obstetrics, mental health, pharmacy, rehabilitation, and medical and radiation oncology. About the Role

As an anaesthetist at LRH, you’ll deliver high-quality patient care, mentor junior staff, and support quality initiatives. You’ll provide expert anaesthesia services, engage in teaching and research, and uphold LRH’s core values. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Active participation in the effective function of the department
  • Provision of clinical expertise and excellent service in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine
  • Supervision of junior medical and other relevant staff within the Unit/Department
  • Support for LRH’s quality, monitoring, and improvement initiatives
  • Contribution to LRH teaching, research, and clinical governance programs

Requirements

  • Legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (or eligible for fellowship via the recognition of equivalent training pathway)
  • Experience in Obstetric anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia, and trauma
  • Experience outside the operating suite (e.g. ICU)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
