Analysts within the Intelligence branch undertake a range of data and information analysis tasks and projects, with the objective of producing intelligence outputs to further support CAV’s strategic and operational needs. Analysts will use and draw on intelligence capabilities to identify and analyse emerging threats, opportunities, patterns, and trends, as well as root causes and possible compliance and enforcement approaches, specifically within the Renting Taskforce.

About the role

Analysts within the Intelligence branch undertake a range of data and information analysis tasks and projects, with the objective of producing intelligence outputs to further support CAV's strategic and operational needs. Analysts will use and draw on intelligence capabilities to identify and analyse emerging threats, opportunities, patterns, and trends, as well as root causes and possible compliance and enforcement approaches, specifically within the Renting Taskforce.

 Key accountabilities include:

  • Undertake data and information analysis to produce intelligence outputs that inform compliance decision making, and operational planning within the function of the Renting Taskforce.
  • Contribute to environmental scanning efforts and produce risk-based analyses and reports on current and emerging renting issues.
  • Undertakes the production of operational and tactical intelligence to support Renting Taskforce initiated compliance and enforcement activities and outcomes.

About you

To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate: 

  • Skills in performing a range of intelligence related duties, including preparing intelligence reports, contributing to environmental scanning efforts, and providing intelligence support to investigations staff.
  • Understanding of, and skills in, information and data analysis (including IT based sources).

Mandatory requirements

  • Relevant experience in an intelligence or regulatory setting would be an advantage.
  • Tertiary qualifications intelligence would be desirable but not mandatory.
