Quality Assessment and Regulation Division

The Department of Education is the Victorian Regulatory Authority for early childhood education and care (ECEC) services under delegation from the Secretary. The Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD) regulates and quality assesses ECEC services. QARD drives the delivery of high-quality ECEC services and ensures the safety, health and wellbeing of Victorian children attending those ECEC services.

About the Role

Area Manager, Barwon South West Area

Tenure: Ongoing

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly skilled senior leader who will be responsible for the supervision of the Barwon South West Area Team in QARD.

The successful applicant will have strong leadership skills, high level organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to manage organisational risk in a high volume, complex organisational environment. The successful applicant will have demonstrated specialist knowledge in the area of early childhood education and care and/ or social regulation.

The Barwon South West Area forms part of a larger region that extends to Grampians and Western Metropolitan Area and as part of the leadership team, the position will involve travel across the South Western Victoria Region. Occasionally, this will include overnight stays.

This is a full time, ongoing position at the VPS6 level and will be based in the Belmont Office.
