About the role

The focus of this role is to provide high-level technical and executive administrative support and research services to the Strategic Advisor, Listings and Allocations within the chambers of the Chief Magistrate, and to provide administrative assistance as part of the Judicial Support Unit at Melbourne Magistrates' Court.

Key duties of the role include the assisting the Strategic Advisor, Listings and Allocations with preparation and maintenance of roster systems, and the daily communications in relation to management of coordination issues.

The role will contribute to a range of projects and other tasks such as the review of systems and processes, administration of magistrate leave, and the management of detailed records in relation to coordination of judicial officers state-wide.

This role requires an experienced, high performing operator, who is a motivated self-starter, who is extremely organised, has great attention to detail. The individual must be able to work independently, as well as being a capable effective member of a diverse, multi-disciplined team. The role requires someone who is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, who works well under pressure and who has excellent problem-solving skills.
