Acute Cardiac Care Unit

The new Victorian Heart Hospital Cardiac Care Unit is a custom-built unit that will provide evidence based holistic care to Victorian cardiac patients. Every bed has state of the art monitoring and capable of providing high acuity care. Embracing a new model of cardiac inpatient care our acute Cardiac Care Unit will treat for a full range of acute, complex tertiary, quaternary cardiac patients for their entire length of stay. Our nurses are an integral member of a wider multidisciplinary team committed to providing excellent cardiac care in a state-of-the-art cardiovascular service.

What You Need:

To ensure your success in this role, you will have following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

• Current/previous cardiac/cardiothoracic nursing experience in acute/critical care setting highly sought
• Post graduate certificate or diploma in critical care/cardiac nursing highly desirable
• Demonstrated leadership success in a critical care clinical role
• Strong desire to build and mentor a high performing team
• Availability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
• Current AHPRA registration and eligibility to work in Australia
• Outstanding communication and time management skills
