Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM)

Part time 64hrs / fortnight

Permanent Position

Rotating roster

3 South West (3SW) is a 20 bed acute general surgery ward (which looks after acute abdominal patients, both elective and trauma pathways with a focus on the speciality of Hepatobiliary & Upper GI (HPB), Colorectal and acute abdominal trauma.

The ANUM fulfils the roles and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse, demonstrates expert knowledge and skills whilst assuming a prominent leadership focus within the ward.

Your new role:

  • You will ensure there is a provision of high-quality standards of patient care. This includes the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team to achieve the desired patient outcomes. Ensure all patients have appropriate risk documentation completed and associated plans in place. 
  • You will assume the responsibilities of the manager maintaining professional and operational standard out of hours.
  • In your new role, you will work collaboratively with the MDT to progress the patient care, resolving issues locally or escalating as needed.

About you:

  • You have 5+ years of acute surgical inpatient hospital experience with a collaborative working style.
  • You are looking for an opportunity to put your stamp on clinical care and leadership
  • You have a demonstrated ability to lead a team.
  • You have demonstrated provision of high-quality patient care.
  • You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
  • You are an AHPRA registered Nurse.
