The Dialysis team at Maryborough District Health Service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager. The individual for this role must have a post graduate qualification or be working towards this, and have demonstrated advanced clinical nursing skills. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will be responsible for assisting the Dialysis Nurse Unit Manager in the course of their duties to ensure efficient operation of the Dialysis unit.

Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Dialysis

Permanent Part Time – 32 hours per fortnight

The Dialysis team at Maryborough District Health Service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager. The individual for this role must have a post graduate qualification or be working towards this, and have demonstrated advanced clinical nursing skills. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will be responsible for assisting the Dialysis Nurse Unit Manager in the course of their duties to ensure efficient operation of the Dialysis unit.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Dialysis experience in a chronic or acute setting
  • Post graduate experience or working towards

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

Qualifications / Experience

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Post Graduate Qualification in renal nursing or working towards.
  • At least three year's postgraduate experience
  • Current haemodialysis experience (acute/chronic)

Specialist Expertise

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical nursing skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of professional nursing issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial management.
  • Manages and engages with stakeholders consistent with MDHS values of GREAT
  • Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.

Personal Qualities

  • Possess highly developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution strategies.
