Associate Nurse Unit Manager - SECU

Latrobe Regional Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join the Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU) team.

Reporting to the SECU Manager this role plays an important role in implementing appropriate systems and processes to meet the SECU team's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

The successful applicant will:

  • Support the unit manager in the provision of dynamic and evidence-based clinical leadership and human and financial resource management.

  • Implement and coordinate care delivery ensuring legislative compliance and adherence to policies and procedures that support the delivery of high standards of clinical practices.

  • Manage, coordinate, lead and assist in the development of the unit ensuring person-centred care and the achievement of a high standard of quality patient outcomes.

  • Lead the unit in relation to implementing recovery-focused and non-punitive and non-coercive practices, including the reduction of seclusion and restraint practices.
