The Barring Djinang VET/TAFE graduate program places graduates with a Certificate III or higher in jobs across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. This program creates a new pathway to public sector careers for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander vocational graduates.

Position Title     

Graduate Recruit

Role Description              

We are interested in taking on a graduate who has an interest in either/or media, audio or video systems and technology. The graduate throughout their 12-month program would be exposed to the operation of Hansard, a team that comprises of Reporters, Subeditors, Editors, Broadcast and Audio Visual ad Publishing and CIT professionals. Some duties could include: 

-Operate digital audio monitoring equipment in the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council chambers.

-Assist with Publishing and Video on Demand (VOD) systems. § Exercise computer skills and acquire a good knowledge of relevant computer programs and operations.

-Undertake training in new technology, particularly in the operation of DCN systems, audio recording and voice recognition.

-Undertake and assist with projects as directed.  This is a great opportunity for graduate to be gain valuable experience in a competitive industry. Possessing an aptitude and drive to learn and develop new skills would be key to success.
