The Barring Djinang VET/TAFE graduate program places graduates with a Certificate III or higher in jobs across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. This program creates a new pathway to public sector careers for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander vocational graduates.

Position Title

Graduate Project Officer 

Role Description

Primarily, this role will help support the functions of the Office of the CEO and Corporate Services teams. There may also be an opportunity to support the organisation's Research and Evaluation activities, should the graduate be interested in this area of work. 

  • Develop and prepare briefs, reports and correspondence
  • Undertake research, including collating and processing data, and develop program options and recommendations
  • Contribute to and actively participate in projects across the Foundation including planning, implementation and review
  • Consult and liaise with staff at all levels within the DJCS portfolio, department bodies as well as external stakeholders, and works effectively with others to build relationship
  • Plan and prioritise tasks and projects deadlines as required and provide general project support.

Additional comments or considerations

All Aboriginal vocational graduates holding Certificate III to Advanced Diploma qualifications from recognised Australian TAFE or VET providers are eligible to apply for this program.
